*I probably won’t be able to check out blogs for a bit! I apologize in advance!! The tournament is throwing my life out of whack.*
Today was hectic, but there weren’t any problems at the tournament. The referees showed up, we had enough kids to do the clock/book, there weren’t any registration issues and Paul’s team won! The only bad thing is that I’m probably only going to get 6 hours of sleep tonight, and then after work tomorrow, I get to start the whole thing over again. But it’s all for a good cause, so I’m going to keep this smile plastered on my face.
Lunch was filled with lots and lots of vegetables. Since my workouts are going to be shorter and less intense through Sunday, I figure I might as well increase my veggie intake as much as I can.
I had been getting so sick of salads, but this honey vinaigrette has really changed my tune. The sweetness is right on target with what this salad needs. Spinach, baby cucumber, yellow peppers, cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes and feta are yummy, but this dressing rocks my socks. Yep, I really just used that expression! 🙂
I didn’t want to leave a tiny bit of my cucumber in the fridge, so I sliced up the rest of it, along with the rest of my yellow bell pepper and brought it as a side. Dipping the vegetables in Laughing Cow Cheese made both veggies a lot tastier, especially that boring cucumber.
Even though I still love my fruit salad bowls, one little apple seems to fill me up so much more. I can’t turn all that fiber down, so I think I’m going to try to get an apple in every couple days.
Day 9 – A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most
This is a pretty terrible picture, but most of the pictures I have with myself and one of my best friends (I’ll call her A.) are not online. I don’t have a scanner, so this will have to do.
I’ve been best friends with her since 6th grade, and I know I’ll always be able to trust her. She’s been there for me when I’ve had friend issues, boy issues and just plain old issues. We can talk about everything and nothing, watch Jersey Shore or Buffy, hang out in my basement, go out for drinks, have sleepovers, not see each other for months…and still, she’ll always be one of my best friends. 🙂
Do you have one best friend or a couple? I have a couple! Any special plans this weekend? I’ll be at the tournament all day, all night on Saturday and Sunday! What fruit are you currently feeling the most? For me, it’s apples!
