Frozen Waffles

When I was a kid, I did some weird things when it came to food. I dipped my Milano cookies in water, I had to eat Kit Kats in a very specific way (and long way; it took almost 3 minutes for one stick) and I constantly snacked on frozen waffles. I’m still a little OCD when it comes to the way I eat food, especially pizza bagels, Reese’s and pretty much anything that is circular. As Lady Gaga would say, “Baby I was born this way!”

This morning, I skipped the frozen waffles and toasted two up for myself instead.

Waffles!

We don’t own a waffle maker, so I just took two from the box, and they were pretty delicious. I topped them with a bit of light maple syrup, cacao nibs and blueberries. It was super sweet, but in a good way. Unfortunately, it didn’t keep me full all morning. I was eating my cottage cheese around 10:15.

Everything!

I had an everything bagel for lunch, and spread it with some sun-dried tomato cream cheese that we buy from our local bagel place. I was in a rush, so I didn’t get to snap a picture of the two sides separately. Sorry!

Fruit heaven again

This random assortment of sweetness was my side, and it was an amazing one.

No lunch of mine is complete without some veggies, so I had some spinach, tomato, yellow bell pepper, hearts of palm and feta. Balsamic vinaigrette was on the top. I need a new dressing.

I want to send a shout-out to Katy!! I won her giveaway and am so excited to try out a Nike + iPod and three GU gels!! Thank you so much Katy!

I’m also looking to change my header at the top of the page. Does anyone know of a good Web site that puts photos together for you?

Off to another girls night tonight. Paul is out with the boys, and I learned my lesson next week. Hanging out with his friends, and being the only girl, is really lame. Tomorrow night I’m going for a friend’s birthday, so I’m going to try to get a workout in during the morning.

What’s your favorite salad dressing? I need a new one to try. Any big plans for the weekend? Have you ever made your own waffles?

I like to put my Kit Kats in the freezer and when I eat them, I eat them by layers. I have no idea how I started that, but it just doesn’t taste the same if I don’t. I’m so weird with how I eat stuff.
The pictures of your food is making me hungry!! : )

  3. Your pictures of your food always looks amazing. I’m so jealous ha.

My favorite salad dressing isn’t a dressing per say. More like crumbly blue cheese on top of anything is the bomb.com. I guess we are rather similar haha.

My brother likes balsamic mixed with a little vinegar.

Ohh I can’t say I found a FAVE salad dressing yet, I seem to prefer the ones from home. But there’s a TJs one (cilantro dressing?) It’s kind of creamy, but pretty good! And usually Asian dressings are great too~like Miso ones. Hmm as usual, I’ll be going to service, and maybe to my fave cafe in LA! πŸ˜€ Have a blessed Saturday

  14. I know this probably isn’t the healthiest dressing ever, but I love Newman’s Own Light Honey Mustard. We have a waffle maker, and I love making waffles, but I never have the time so I usually have a box of frozen on hand.

I agree with the comments – the food looks delicious!!

  16. Try poppyseed dressing. I had never heard of it until recently and omg it is to die for.

I hadn’t had frozen waffles for FOREVER but then this week I had waffle sandwiches for the last three breakfasts!! Toast two (Van’s light–fiber and protein), peanut butter on both sides, banana slices in the middle, smush together. Glorious.

I totally have always eaten things in a weird way too—and I can’t stop doing it for some things. But I try to be “normal” more often when I’m around other people!

  21. I’ve made my own waffles! Got a waffle maker for the wedding in November & I’ve used it a couple times. It’s kinda a hassle to deal with all the stuff & it’s not the easiest to clean, but it’s a fun weekend thing!

I used piknik for my header, it is totally idiot proof and you can make a picture collage to post into your header. Of course, I’m not sure about how wordpress works as I use blogger, but it’s worth a shot πŸ™‚

I love eggos, I dip them in instant pudding πŸ™‚
